2. Hrundel Lightbearer, The Torch Bearer Lore
In the Winter realm of the Vinlings, Hrundel Lightbearer was born to Queen Frythia Fair Frost. Messengers brought word of the birth to King Hungarling, who had been away from his hearth for seven years, adventuring with his army beyond the Northern Frontier. Returning to his kingdom, he drowned his wife in her bath and put the men of her coterie to the sword. The infant, however, was a creature of such purity and beauty that he could not bring himself to kill it, and resolved instead to raise the boy as his own.

[1] Introduction
Greetings, greetings. You're probably here because you have some interest in Queen of Thorns, though you're probably wondering what you'll find. Well, you're in the right place as Queen of Thorns is currently my favorite demigod and thus induced me to write form of resource for the community. You'll find plenty of info here and not just mine as I'll gladly accept feed back and input from the community so we can make this a wonderful resource. They'll even recieve credit!
I want to shy away from the term "guide", as that indicates telling you how Queeny should be played. Instead, I'll use the term "Handbook", a collection of information to help you master this stubborn mistress. Feel free to disagree, correct, or advise, I'm open minded and not so full of myself to think I am the only voice of Queeny.
As usual, this is a work in progress. I will update it over time as needed and fix any errors as needed. Feel free to pm builds, corrections, thoughts, or info. Also feel free to repost my guide as you please, you don't even need to give me credit (though it would be the nice thing to do!).
[2] Queen of Thorn Lore
.:The Tale of Thorns:.
The Torch Bearer Guide
Strengths:
Strong damage with fire magic
Stun and weaken enemies with frost magic
Weaknesses:
Fragile
Available spells limited by mode
Play Style:
The Torch Bearer changes between two modes, both devastating to enemies. In frost mode, he conjures powerful ice storms and slows his foes to a frozen crawl. When the Torch Bearer ignites himself, he exchanges his frost spells for fire. In this form, he conjures a wide array of army-smashing spells, from searing fireballs to explosive novas.
Background:
At the time that the Queen of the Vinlings gave birth to Hrundel Lightbearer, the king had been away from the kingdom for seven years.Told of his wife's infidelity, he returned to his hall and killed the queen and her male attendants. Moved by the innocence of his wife's new son, he spared the child and resolved to raise him as his own.
As the child grew, he began to demonstrate strange abilities: he could make both fire and ice do his bidding.Though the child only used his abilities to delight the girl he loved, the king saw that in time the boy might grow into a powerful usurper. The king's misgivings were amplified by his priests' warnings — the boy's magic portended ill tidings for the Halls of the Vinlings.
On his eighteenth birthday, Hrundel and his friends were summoned by the king to a special party, to be held inside a new wooden hall that had been erected for the occasion. The king never entered; instead, he looked on as his guards locked the partygoers inside the structure and set it aflame. Hrundel held his beloved in his arms as the two were burned alive.
The tender part of Hrundel died that night, but a dark vengeance took its place. Rising from the hall's ashes bearing a still-guttering torch, Hrundel's charred corpse rained fire and death upon the king and all his subjects.
Only after he had razed the homes and farms of all Vinlings did the Torch Bearer move on to colder places, far away.
